Greening Of City For Commonwealth Games Begins

All entry points to the city will be covered with thick foliage and trees. Thick green cover would be provided all along main roads, surroundings of flyovers, malls, parking lots etc. Beds of colourful flowers would also be planted at many places in the green belt area.
The greening and beautification work would first be undertaken at Sector 14 A flyover, Mahamaya flyover, Sector-32, expressway.  Roads will be covered with green plants by the end of February 2010.

"Plants and colourful flowers will be planted on the four kilometre stretch between Mahamaya flyover to Inter College. Before Commonwealth Games more than a million saplings across the city will be planted," says Noida Authority's director Horticulture.  

"Before the Commonwealth Games you will see greenery all around the town and especially at entrances of the city, the expressway and its surrounding areas," he adds.
