Digest this irony. The Gama-II Sector has the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority's office, but it is still crying for authority's attention.

The condition of the area is getting worse day by day. Besides water and electricity woes, a cleaner environment, better parking facilities in nearby evergreen market and safer security systems are the utmost needs of the area.

Mamta Tiwari, member of RWA of Gama-II says, "We are worried over the rising incidents of chain snatching and burglaries in broad daylight in our area. Residents are outraged over the casual approach of police. We have approached the authority to seek permission for fencing and to create a boundary wall in the sector for safety reasons."

An official of Civil Department of GNIDA says, "We know the issue and we will try to grant permission in the coming week to allow the residents to build a fencing to secure their place."

"Parks here are in a terrible condition," says another resident. The pre-monsoon rains have already started affecting the drainage system in residential areas. The drains are choked and water is flowing on to the roads.

Evergreen market, next to Gama residential areas, is facing severe parking problems. The inadequate parking place in city market, congestion on the roads and footpaths and long traffic jams due to the unorganised parking in the crowded market could be a major security threat for people. Kuldeep Sharma, resident of Gama-I says, "In the past there have been many instances of accidents in the Evergreen market due to no proper parking places for vehicles."

Rupa Gupta, president of Mahila Shakti Samajeek Samiti says, "We have filed numerous complaints regarding the parking problem and requesting for appointing a guard in the market to check the vehicles from both sides and help the visitors to park in an appropriate pattern."
